Eight detained over Aisha Bakkar clashes released

Military Prosecutor Judge Saqr Saqr released eight of the 24 detainees who were arrested for participating in the Aisha Bakkar clashes last week, according to a report carried by Lebanon”s state-run National News Agency (NNA).

The NNA report added the investigations will continue with the other 16 individuals still in custody. Clashes between the Amal and Future Movements in the Beirut neighborhood of Aisha Bakkar led to the killing of a mother of five, Zeina al-Meeri and the wounding of several others.
