Sleiman to attend NAM meeting in Sharm El-Sheikh
President Michel Sleiman will travel to Egypt Tuesday to represent Lebanon at the Non-Aligned Movement summit. Sleiman will travel to the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh as head of an official delegation to take part in the summit which lasts until Thursday.
At the summit, Egypt will replace Cuba at the helm of the movement. Founded in 1955, NAM counts some 118 member states that represent 56 percent of the global population. NAM states consider themselves not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc.
