Hariri Meets Suleiman: We Will Continue Consultations; Process Moving as It Should Be
The process to form a government is moving on the right track and consultations will continue with all political parties, premier-designate Saad Hariri said after talks with President Michel Suleiman at Baabda Palace Sunday.
"We discussed the formation of a national unity government, one that is capable of functioning, includes all political parties and works under a real partnership," Hariri told reporters after an hour and a half of talks with Suleiman.
"We are still consulting and talking in a calm manner. We see this government as a necessity to stimulate the social and economic sectors and to confront looming challenges," he said.
"Matters are proceeding as they should be. We will continue our consultations with political parties. God willing (the end result) will be positive," Hariri concluded.
