UNIFIL Denies Activity in Kfarshouba
UNIFIL spokesperson Yasmina Bouzian denied Friday any activity was going on at Baathaeel pond on the outskirts of the Israeli-occupied border town of Kfarshouba.
Bouzian noted that talks were now focused on "finding an appropriate solution to the problem of cattle crossing that region."
She said UNIFIL teams are currently deployed in the area to monitor all activity.
Bouzian said that recently there have been crossings of cows from the Israeli side to Lebanese territory, particularly in Baathaeel pond, "raising the ire of the municipal council and local residents" who urged UNIFIL to find a solution to this issue.
