Geagea Tells Tarabay: A Certain Setting Will Take Place on Time
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea met Monday a delegation of the Maronite League, which was touring political forces as part of its initiative to push for inter-Christian reconciliation.
Geagea praised the Maronite League”s efforts, which he said "helped put the Northern house in order."
"What is missing now is the final picture or a certain setting, which will take place at the specified date," Geagea said.
The LF leader pointed to the fact that "the North was the starting point for the establishment of Lebanon, hundreds of years ago." He expressed hope that "in light of the latest developments, the North can help put the Lebanese house in order and steer it safely to shore."
For his part, League president Joseph Tarabay announced that an anticipated meeting between Geagea and MP Suleiman Franjieh will take place "naturally and according to circumstances."
He said the League”s talks with each of Geagea and Franjieh were "positive" adding that there was a "sincere intent to close this file permanently."
