The Saudi ambassador to Lebanon said Monday his country wanted to help consolidate "stability in the country and accord among political forces."
Ambassador Ali Awad al-Ossairi was speaking after his meeting with MP Nohad al-Mashnouq.
"Saudi Arabia wants to play a supportive role to strengthen stability in Lebanon and achieve accord among political forces," he said.
For his part Mashnouq thanked Ossairi for adopting a policy of "openness to all Lebanese sides, without discrimination."
"Such an approach helped reach what Saudi Arabia has been aiming for: to maintain stability and to improve the situation at all levels," he added.
The Saudi ambassador also met with information and tourism ministers Tariq Mitri and Elie Marouni.
