LF Preparing Lawsuit against Wahhab for Incitement
MP Antoine Zahra announced Saturday night that the Lebanese Forces will file a lawsuit against former minister Wiam Wahhab over the latter”s accusations the party was forming security cells in some Lebanese regions.
Speaking at the LF”s politburo annual gala in Batroun, Zahra said Wahhab”s allegations can be "legally considered a form of sectarian and criminal incitement."
"As such the Lebanese Forces will seek the help of the judiciary and will sue him for this incitement especially that each person must bear the consequences of their statements," he said in a statement.
He said that recent statements targeting the LF "aim at isolating the party because it is an essential force of opposition to any attempt to once again place Lebanon under (foreign) control."
He renewed the LF”s support for premier-designate Saad Hariri and reaffirmed commitment to the party”s principles.
"March 14 is in great shape," he added.
