Army on High Alert as Israeli Force Advances to Shebaa Environs
Three armored Israeli vehicles, accompanied by a civilian car, advanced to the environs of the Shebaa Farms Monday afternoon, the National News Agency reported.
Under tight security, Israeli workers started reparations to a barb-wired fence located a few meters from the Berkat Shebaa.
The Lebanese army, stationed on the opposite side of the fence, was placed on high alert deploying tanks and positioning soldiers inside the fortifications.
For its part, UNIFIL also advanced some of its vehicles to Berkat Shebaa”s environs and observed movements on both sides of the fence.
