Dabbousi Says Ghandour Likely to Be Freed Soon
Secretary General of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Toufik Dabbousi said Wednesday that President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tripoli Abdullah Ghandour, who disappeared last week, is likely to be freed soon.
Dabbousi, during a press conference in Tripoli, said security services were doing their best to secure Ghandour”s return home "within the few coming hours."
Local media had ruled out any political motive behind Ghandour”s disappearance.
Ghandour”s dark blue Mercedes was found last Saturday in Tripoli”s Haykaliyeh area, three kilometers from his office. Security forces also found his wallet and one of his mobile phones in the vehicle, a day after he went missing.
Employees at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry described Ghandour as a good friend, adding that he was not known for harboring animosity against anyone.
