Tripoli grenade attack leaves 4-year-old wounded
A rocket-propelled grenade hit the house of Mohsen Sleiman in the Jabal Mohsen neighborhood in the northern coastal town of Tripoli on Wednesday night, wounding a 4-year-old identified as Lina Ahmad al-Saour, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.
In a separate report, New TV also said that residents of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh were on high alert following the incident, during which each side allegedly took up arms. However, no clashes have been reported. The destitute neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh have been mired in sectarian clashes between Muslim Sunnis and Alawites, whose religion is an offshoot of Shiite Islam.
