Jumblat is Part of Parliamentary Majority
State Minister Wael Abu Faour confirmed Saturday that Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat was part of the parliamentary majority and stressed that the Druze leader was not carrying out a coup against March 14 forces.
"MP Walid Jumblat is neither carrying out a coup against March 14 nor is he performing a coup against outcome of the latest parliamentary elections," Abu Faour said.
He stressed that "we are part of the parliamentary majority, meaning part of the 71 MPs."
"We are also part of the Cabinet majority – 3 of 15 ministers," added the Druze Cabinet minister.
Abu Faour said Jumblat will present a new outlook that would be discussed at the March 14 dialogue table as well as the national dialogue table.
"He (Jumblat) will not abandon his principles," Abu Faour went on to say. "He also will not give up the ambitions, hopes, dreams and struggles of thousands of Lebanese who flocked Martyrs Square time and again, demanding Lebanon”s sovereignty and independence."
