MPs: Berri Says Situation Requires “Extraordinary” Government
A number of deputies have quoted Speaker Nabih Berri as saying that problems such as electricity and water in Lebanon require an "extraordinary" government not a care-taker one, parliament”s general secretariat said in a statement Wednesday.
Berri expressed hope for the formation of a government as soon as possible.
President Michel Suleiman had met Berri at Baabda Palace to discuss the latest developments in the formation process. They urged political teams to facilitate the task of the premier-designate. Berri left the palace without speaking to reporters.
