Raad Stresses on “National Responsibility;” Fadlallah”s Views “Personal”
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc”s head Mohammed Raad drew a line Thursday between Hizbullah”s position and Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah”s latest statement regarding Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir.
Following a meeting with former PM Salim Hoss, Raad underscored the regional tension that is being reflected on the internal political developments.
He urged all concerned parties to focus on their "national responsibilities in order to distance the country from the tensions surrounding it and to limit their repercussions."
In his answer to the reporters about Fadlallah”s recent speech seen as a retaliation to Sfeir”s positions, Raad considered the ayatollah as "a national and religious reference, however he was expressing his personal opinions."
Raad reiterated Hizbullah”s refusal to play the role of "mediator" with Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun regarding his demands vis-à-vis the cabinet formation.
