Jumblat, Democratic Gathering MPs Will Attend Monday”s March 14 Meeting
MP Marwan Hamadeh confirmed that head of the Democratic Gathering bloc Walid Jumblat as well as all lawmakers from his bloc will attend a meeting of the majority legislators on Monday.
In remarks to Future News TV late Sunday, Hamadeh said the 71 MPs who represent the majority March 14 forces, including Druze leader Walid Jumblat, will renew during the meeting their commitment to both the Constitution and Taef Accord.
He said the majority MPs will also emphasize the role of the president and the prime minister-designate in forming a Cabinet.
"All 71 majority MPs will stress during tomorrow”s meeting on the role of the president and the PM-designate in the formation of the government," Hamadeh said, stressing that March 14 will remain a majority.
