FPM Rejects Interference in Cabinet Representation
The Free Patriotic Movement rejected attempts to interfere in Cabinet representation in the new government.
"No one has the right to interfere in who would represent the FPM in the government," said a statement published by al-Liwaa daily on Tuesday.
"Just as no one can form a government without respecting the necessary norms for good participation and representation," the statement added.
The FPM was responding to a clause in the statement issued on Monday following a meeting of parliamentary majority MPs in Qoreitem.
The statement said that the majority”s openness toward formation of a national unity Cabinet "does not give any political party the right to impose conditions on the premier-designate and the president."
