Karami says Hariri “responsible man” for PM job
Former Prime Minister Omar Karami voiced support on Saturday for Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri’s task of forming a national unity government.
Speaking during an iftar banquet, Karami described Hariri as “promising and responsible man, who is willing to sacrifice.
Prime Minister-designate Hariri is the only leader qualified to form a cabinet because of his large group of supporters.” Karami added. Karami said he expected that a new government would be formed “within the next two weeks.” He stressed delay in cabinet formation had left the Lebanese “anxious.
