Jumblat Calls for Speeding Up "a Reconciliation" between Lebanese Muslim Factions to Obstruct Terrorists plans
Jumblat reiterated strongly the necessity for a cabinet lineup in order not to endanger the security of the country and called for a reconciliation between the different Muslim parties to obstruct terrorist plans in creating internal clashes.
In al-Anba”s weekly article, the Progressive socialist party”s leader stressed on the importance of forming a Cabinet "to hinder any exposure on the security and the political levels that would have negative results, much greater than any political party can handle."
Given that, he called for "the necessity of speeding up a reconciliation between the various Muslim factions in order to obstruct terrorist groups” attempts in spreading fanatic and sectarian feelings."
On the occasion of the Francophone Games, Jumblat tackled the situation in the Palestinian Camps where "misery, poverty and deprivation prevail" and urged the participants to look into those matters.
Elaborating on the subject, the Druze leader criticized "those who exploit the Palestinian file for their cheep political aims, unconcerned with the humanitarian situation" in the camps.
Furthermore, he commented on the delay in rebuilding Nah el-Bared Camp and the "provoked hubbub around it" and pinpointed at "the suggestions voiced by some Lebanese that reflect hatred against the Palestinians and insist on reopening this file to awake fanatic instincts that are disgusting."
