Security Source Denies “Extremist Invasion” after Report on Disappearance of Gulf Tourists
A security source denied a media report that there has been no sight of 7,000 Gulf tourists, saying such a story is aimed at hinting that there is "an extremist invasion of Lebanon."
The source also told al-Liwaa newspaper that al-Markaziya agency”s report comes as part of efforts to tarnish the state of stability in Lebanon.
Al-Markaziya said Friday investigation carried out by Lebanese security agencies showed that around 7,000 tourists from Gulf countries haven”t left Lebanon despite the expiry of their visas.
The report added that the tourists disappeared on Lebanese territories, particularly in Akkar villages and Palestinian camps, after police discovered that their apartments and hotel rooms were vacated.
