LF at the Core of resisting Syrian-Iranian axis
Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra said in an interview with Free Lebanon radio on Sunday that Tawhid Movement leader Wiam Wahhab is continually attacking the parties that resist the Syrian-Iranian axis in Lebanon, stressing that his party is at the core of political and peaceful opposition to the axis.
Zahra also responded to statements issued by former Change and Reform bloc MP Hassan Yaacoub who said the LF is undertaking military training in Zahle, saying that Yaacoub is concerned about the LF’s popularity in Zahle and his loss in the June elections in that district. Zahra said Yaacoub presented an appeal to the electoral result to the Constitutional Council and that “this is the way he chose to re-enter the political game.” He said his party wants the Attorney General to investigate Yaacoub’s statement.
Zahra said it was unacceptable to accuse Zahle and central Bekaa residents of something false in order to attain personal objectives.
