No Progress in Deliberations, Cabinet of Leaders Reasonable
Lebanese Forces MP George Adwan said in an interview broadcasted Sunday on MTV that no progress has been made in cabinet deliberations, but said the process is calm. He said a cabinet of leaders “will do the job.”
He also said that the opposition parties should decide among themselves what ministerial seats they want and not to ask for them by “retail.” He said that problem is not with the portfolios, but their distribution.
Adwan concluded that the results of the parliamentary elections must be upheld and President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri should form a cabinet based on new suggestions, and not old suggestions that lead to dead ends.
