A Press Conference has been held in “San Hills” Hotel, in Adma, where the member of the Lebanese Forces Deputies block MP Antoine Zahra has participated as the representative of the Chief Executive in the Lebanese Forces, Dr. Samir Geagea.

In the last session of the convention, an assessment has been made by the four Youth Organizations Chiefs who have participated in its sessions over four days.

MP Zahra thanked the audience, confirming on the need to keep this communication and cooperation between them and the youth of the “Lebanese Forces”. He said: “You have visited Kannoubin Valley, stayed in a Five Stars Hotel at Jounieh Coast, hanged around in Beirut Down Town, and listened to social, economic and political lectures. You have known the History of this nation and recognize that we are a people who live the last revenue of the global civilization and have the potential to open up to all the techniques and modern methods. But we also stick to our roots, to combine originality and modernity in order to defend our existence and seek to communicate and dialogue with our people, our neighborhood and the world, although we are aware of the difficulties we are trying to confront”

He added: “You are the Lebanese Forces Youth and students guests, and we are sure that after this communication, Lebanon has gained, and the Lebanese Cause has gained ambassadors in the countries of the free world”. He affirmed that this communication will provide the practices of democracy, peace, and stability to live as the free world countries do”.
Five of Youth representatives’ participants talked about this experience in Lebanon.

“Yepp” (Youth of the European People”s Party) Organization Chief, Laurent Schouteten, accented on the importance of Lebanon in the stabilization of democracy and freedoms in the Middle East. He also praised the determination of “The Lebanese Forces” on its positions and principles despite all the difficulties and suffering. He said that the convention opened to him and to his organization a window to Lebanon, and his party should continue its cooperation with the “Lebanese Forces” Youth by inviting them to attend its International conventions which are held in Europe.

“Demyc” (The Democrat Youth Community of Europe) Organization Chief, Pal Haynesen, said: “The freedom path is a long and difficult path and the parties that want to be engaged in defending the freedoms must have a clear vision and determination to save their people from the forces of darkness”. Haynsen mentioned that his organization was established in the early sixties to protect the European people and to support them in their defense of freedoms in Eastern Europe, especially during the dominance of the Soviet Union.

The Vice President of the European Democratic Parties students, Maria Kiris, said: “I am from Estonia, and Estonia is a country newly independent and continues to suffer because of some problems, which is similar to the Lebanese political reality, but the difference is that in Europe the Youth have the right to believe in any principles whether they are right or left-wing”.

She added: “After what I have seen through the political meetings that took place during the convention, I believe that the Lebanese Youth are still confronting difficulties and problems in order to enjoy freedom and peace”, and I hope that the “Lebanese Forces” and its Students Association continue the struggle to achieve the goals of the Lebanese cause”.

The Republican Party Youth in the United States representative, Ken Emmanuelsen, said that he was hesitant to come to Lebanon, but he made up his mind after his meeting with the “Lebanese Forces” Youth in Texas, in America, especially as he shares with them the same religious and humanitarian values and principles. He declared that he discovered that the “Lebanese Forces” Youth were working for Lebanon and not for themselves as Christians or as a party. He added: “I am proud of our relationship and I thank them for giving me the opportunity to come to Lebanon and get acquainted with the Lebanese cause”, and he said that he aspires to further cooperation with them in the future.
