The opinion of Gianna Fakhourie (Jamaica) concerning “Crossing the boundaries” convention
The Crossing the Boundaries convention hosted by the Lebanese Forces Student Association was a definite success.
It was informative about the Lebanese forces, the political and religious arenas in the country, and about Lebanon itself.
I was very impressed by the meetings with the Patriarch, the Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church, the Prime Minister, and of course, Dr. Samir Geagea.
I found Dr. Geagea to be quite charismatic and his knowledge of the countries represented and their political climates was astounding.
As we were hosted by the young people of the Lebanese Forces, they made sure to put lots of fun into the programme.
The visits to Jeita Grotto, and the Holy Valley were experiences I will never forget, and of course, White and Sky Bar were absolutely amazing.
The gala dinner that closed the convention was an evening of elegance that far surpassed my expectations.
I don’t mind speaking for all the representatives from all the countries, if I may be so presumptuous to do so, but WE had a blast!!!
