Phalange Party Reassured with Security Measure Following Ain al-Rummaneh Incident
The Phalange Party is reassured by the measures taken by the Lebanese Armed Forces and security units regarding Ain al-Rummaneh incident. The party applauded the act of turning over the perpetrators to the judicial system after being condemned by political and party references.
The party issued a statement after the weekly meeting with president Amin Gemayel affirming that "the case will be followed closely to get to the bottom of it. Justice will prevail and there will be no political interference to set free the perpetrators as it happened in other incidents in the past".
The Phalange party labeled the Syrian-Saudi summit as positive for Lebanon in particular and the Region in general. The statement said "it is unacceptable, though, to believe that the summit is being held exclusively to solve the Lebanese government formation".
The statement showed uneasiness regarding the still existent argument of the portfolios and chairs in shadows of the "government formation and the unbearable economic crisis which is reflected on all the Lebanese sectors".
