Talks with Hariri Progressing, but with LF it is More Difficult
MP Michel Aoun said in an interview published Wednesday by the French "Le Point" magazine that negotiations with PM-designate Saad Hariri are "progressing," but with the Lebanese Forces "it is more difficult."
Aoun reiterated that the Cabinet crisis can only be solved internally, adding that "we will reach a Cabinet lineup."
"Nowadays, our relation with the majority is quiet," he added.
On the possibility of reaching an understanding with Hariri or Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea similar to the Document of Understanding between Aoun and Hizbullah, Aoun said:
"We are holding talks with Mr. Hariri and there is progress in this regards, but for the Lebanese Forces the issue becomes even more difficult," Aoun said.
