Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said that Turkey encourages all parties to achieve stability in Lebanon which he described as the equilibrium in the region.
"Lebanon is the region”s balance and the index of stability in it. The Turkish policy is based on encouraging stability in this country without bias," Davutoglu said Wednesday following talks with former Lebanese Premier Najib Miqati who was in Turkey for a visit.
The Turkish minister also urged the Lebanese to benefit from the Saudi-Syrian rapprochement.
As for Miqati, he thanked Turkey for its support to Lebanon whether through U.N. peacekeepers or through coordination with different political parties to remove obstacles hindering cabinet formation.
