Phalange Party: No to Legitimizing Hizbullah Arms in Cabinet”s Policy Statement
MP Sami Gemayel stressed that Phalange Party will not sign the new cabinet”s Policy Statement if it included any legitimizing or acceptance for the "illegal Hizbullah arms,".
Gemayel was speaking during Phalange Party students department annual dinner where he said that the forthcoming period is a period of democracy, and that his party will convince others through democratic, civilized and respectful dialogue.
"We will not attack anyone but we will defend ourselves and we will stand next to the security forces and Lebanese army so that they can fulfill their obligations and impose their authority on all Lebanese territories because we believe in the rise of the state," said MP Gemayel to the gathered.
Gemayel said that his party will keep on struggling for the unity of Christians in Lebanon, stressing that it was the only way to defend Lebanon. He also urged his party members and supporters to renounce aggressive behavior towards their political rivals.
