Speech of Lebanon”s Ambassador to U.N. Accused Israel of Geneva Agreement Violations
Lebanon”s permanent representative to the U.N. Nawaf Salam gave a speech during the discussion of the Goldestone Report on the Gaza conflict in the General Assembly headed by Judge Richard Goldestone.
Salam expressed Lebanon”s stance regarding the report stating that "Israel has committed dangerous violations to the Geneva agreement including intended murder and torture," he said.
Palestine”s ambassador Riad Mansour had his own speech in which he called the international community to adopt a firm stance regarding the violations.
On his part, U.N. Secretary General Ban ki Moon will demand the application of the decision and will issue a follow-up report in three months time.
