Harb Meets Gemayel, Says Phalange Absence from Cabinet a “Major Flaw”
Labor Minister Boutros Harb stressed Wednesday that the participation of Phalange Party in the cabinet is essential. He considered that there will be "a major flaw if the participation ring of national parties and political forces in the current government was not complete."
After meeting former president Amin Gemayel in Saifi, Harb considered that Phalange Party and its leader have the right to express some remarks and objections on the approach of managing the cabinet formation issue.
Harb added: "We depend on the wisdom and patriotism of Sheikh Amin, Phalange Party, and its great struggle history, so that national interest prevails. I believe we paid in blood during that experience, and I”m talking about from Phalange”s house that has two martyrs during the struggle period, the blood of Pierre Gemayel and Antoine Ghanem. We paid in blood for the patriotic beliefs, and I believe that this precious blood calls us to define out national stance, and our hope is great that this “cloud” be treated and we be gathered in Lebanon”s service."
