The MPs elected the members of the parliamentary commissions based on a prior agreement between Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Saad Hariri and the representatives of parliamentary blocs.
The heads of commissions and committees will be elected shortly, also reportedly based on a prior agreement:
– Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan will head the Budget and Finance Commission
– MP Robert Ghanem heads the Administration and Justice Commission
– Development and Liberation bloc MP Abdellatif al-Zein heads the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Commission
– Lebanon First bloc MP Bahia Hariri heads the Education Commission
– Lebanon First bloc MP Atef Majdalani heads the Health Commission
– Lebanon First bloc MP Samir al-Jisr heads the National Defense Commission
– Zahle in the Heart bloc MP Shant Gengenian heads the Commission of the Displaced
– Development and Liberation bloc MP Ayoub Hmayed heads the Agriculture Commission
– Democratic Gathering bloc MP Marwan Hamadeh heads the Environment Commission
– Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah heads the Information and Communication Commission
– Change and Reform bloc MP Simon Abi Ramia heads the Youth and Sports Commission
– Lebanon First MP Ahmad Fatfat heads the Information Technology Commission
– Change and Reform bloc MP Gilberte Zouein heads the Woman and Child Commission
