Lebanon Will Not Remain a Playground for Regional Conflicts
Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that "Lebanon will not remain a playground for regional conflicts", and added that the Lebanese deserve a secure civil state.
Hariri was delivering a speech during a ceremony held by Beirut Arab University which he said it was a reflection for the official Egyptian policy under the leadership of President Hosni Mubarak in supporting Lebanon.
"We are in front of a period that requires everyone”s efforts in order to clear the general atmosphere from the remnants of the past. Lebanon needs the efforts of the people of education, culture, and politics. Our heart is open on the white page," added the new Lebanese Premier.
Hariri stressed on the importance of national coherence to restore the lost trust between the state and its citizens. He expressed his "immense trust in the Lebanese people in restoring what was damaged in terms of relations."
