Lebanese Soldier Finally Laid To Rest
Lebanese soldier Johnny Nassif was finally laid to rest Sunday in his hometown of Debel, four years after his remains were found.
Nassif’s remains were uncovered in a mass grave on the grounds of the Defense Ministry headquarters in November 2005, and DNA tests recently identified them as Nassif.
Brigadier General Elias Shamieh attended the funeral in place of Lebanese Army Commander Jean Kahwaji.
