2 Injured as Rival Clans Clash with Machine Guns, RPGs in Baablek
Two people were wounded when armed clashes broke out Tuesday between Jaafar and Wehbe clans in Baalbek”s Sharawneh neighborhood, the Voice of Lebanon radio station reported.
It said the two sides exchanged machine-gun and rocket-propelled grenade fire before Lebanese troops stepped in to contain the fight.
VDL said the clash erupted when rumor had it that a man died from wounds he sustained during a quarrel over a car parking place a few days ago.
