Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hasan confirmed that "some" locally grown vegetable products and fruits, particularly strawberries, were contaminated.
Hasan confirmed the contamination after results of a study conducted by a university student caused panic among Lebanese.
The study confirmed the presence of toxic pesticides in strawberries, apples, grapes, cherries, potatoes and zucchini.
