Lebanese Forces Developing Plan for Prison Upgrade
Lebanese Forces bloc MP Strida Geagea said Lebanon’s prisons are in a “devastating” condition after her meeting with Lebanese Forces bloc MP Elie Keyrouz on Friday.
She said the Lebanese Forces is planning to improve prison conditions by supplying prisons with medicine and medical equipment.
Geagea added that she will contact Interior Minister Ziad Baroud to discuss “practical ideas” that would ease the situation for Lebanese prisoners. There was also mention of helping innocent foreign prisoners return to their home countries.
