Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun said Lebanon regained independence in 2005.
"Preserving independence is more difficult than obtaining it," Aoun said in remarks published Sunday by the daily An-Nahar. "This is why the Lebanese lost their independence for a long time."
"Independence is a decision-making at a government level with absolute freedom without harming international laws or vital global," Aoun believed.
