Gas-leak accident hospitalizes Minieh residents
Some 25 people suffered from health complications in Minieh in north Lebanon, Tuesday, after workers at the local water company accidentally caused a gas leak.
Workers at the water company of Minieh and Al-Diniyyeh were fixing the chlorine canals of a large water container when one of the canals was opened by mistake. Noxious gas was released into the air and was inhaled by nearby residents.
Those affected were immediately taken to the local hospital. Twenty were discharged, while the remaining five should be released Wednesday.
