Constitutional Council Political Voting Reason of Its Downfall
Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun said that the Constitutional Council voted politically, the thing that led to its downfall, in a first comment on the verdicts issued by the council regarding the parliamentary election filed challenges.
In a statement to OTV network, Aoun said: "Since the beginning, we expected the occurrence of one thing of possible two: the fall of one or more challenged MPs, or the downfall of the Constitutional Council itself."
Aoun added: "Had the Constitutional Council voted legally on the challenges, annulling the vote results would have been certain, but in case of political voting then its downfall would be the certain thing."
