Abbas in Beirut Monday
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is expected to visit Beirut on Monday for talks with top Lebanese officials, well-informed sources told al-Liwaa newspaper.
The sources said that during his visit, the first since the election of President Michel Suleiman, Abbas will discuss a wide-range of issues, including the right of return for Palestinians, rejection of naturalization and giving civil and social rights to Palestinian refugees.
During his two-day visit, Abbas will meet with Suleiman, Speaker Nabih Berri and Premier Saad Hariri.
The Palestinian president had told al-Liwaa that he was in continuous contact with Suleiman and other party officials and religious figures. He had stressed on brotherly ties with Lebanese state institutions and constitutional authorities.
