Jumblat Urges the Lebanese to Change Priorities, Debates
Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat called on the Lebanese to shift their priorities and debates to deeper and more important issues in order to give the environmental issues the needed care away from conflicts, futile debates, division, and trenches.
Jumblat”s call to the Lebanese came in his Monday”s article in his party”s Al Anbaa weekly that focused on the Copenhagen climate change summit.
"There are tens of issues that we can put on the track of treatment (in Lebanon) such as: power generation, electricity, water, pollution, marine property, traditional buildings, forestation, artificial lakes, mountainous ponds, solar energy, and other issues that surmount the importance of tight and boring political calculations and disputes," added Jumblat.
