Quarrel Between Hizbullah Members, UNIFIL in Marjeyoun
A quarrel took place on Monday afternoon between members of UNIFIL”s French battalion and others from Hizbullah in the southern village of Tallousah in Marjeyoun district.
Reports said that during the procession of two French battalion vehicles on the side road of the village, UNIFIL troops noticed a group of Hizbullah members working on installing a telephone network. As one of those members casted stones at UNIFIL”s vehicles, the two vehicles stopped and the French troops took combat positions.
After the arrival of a number of villagers in support for Hizbullah”s members, the Lebanese Army interfered in coordination with Hizbullah”s security committee and the French patrol headed back to Tyre.
