National Dialogue Composition Requires Reconsidering
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said that the composition of the National Dialogue’s participants should be “reconsidered” before a date is set for its sessions to begin.
He also said that the “unhealthy” atmosphere currently characterizing Lebanese-Syrian relations prevented him from offering condolences to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for the passing of his brother Majd, who died on Saturday.
Geagea added that the extradition notices issued by the Syrian judiciary against Lebanese public figures indicate that Syria does not welcome Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s visit and wants him to come to Damascus “under pressure.”
