We Won”t Allow Anyone to Undermine Security in Lebanon
Head of Fatah in Lebanon Sultan Abul Aynein expressed dismay at the latest statement announced two days ago by Ahmad Jibril, head of PFLP-GC, by saying: "The later put himself in a position that qualifies him to speak in the name of the Palestinian people, while he only speaks in the name of his organization."
In an interview with the Egyptian daily Akhbar al-Yawm published Tuesday, Abul Aynein stressed: "We know our responsibilities toward our Lebanese brothers, and we won”t allow any individual or group to represent a nightmare that haunts the Palestinian or Lebanese security, or to harm the domestic peace of Lebanon."
"The (Palestinian refugee) camps are witnessing a state of security and political stability," added Fatah”s number one in Lebanon.
Abul Aynein added that they will comply with what the Lebanese agree on regarding the Palestinian arms inside or outside the camps. He stressed that arms outside the camps were not under the sole command of Jibril.
"The camps won”t become independent from the Lebanese State, and the reports about sleeping cells stem from the imagination of those who fabricate them," added Abul Aynein.
