Jordanian FM from Beirut: Lebanon Important on Arab Map
Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Saturday stressed upon that importance of "special relations between Lebanon and Jordan, and the keenness of the two countries” leaderships to maintain them," adding that "Lebanon is an important country on the Arab map."
After his meeting with Prime Minister Saad Hariri, Judeh said that the visit was to congratulate Hariri in the name of Jordan”s King Abdullah II and PM Samir al-Rifai.
Judeh wished Hariri "personal success and Lebanon”s prosperity and stability."
The Jordanian minister put Hariri in the image of "the latest extensive efforts to re-launch the peace process which aims to establish an independent Palestinian state."
Earlier, Judeh met with President Michel Suleiman at the Baabda Palace to discuss the latest regional developments.
He also met with Speaker Nabih Berri at Ain al-Tineh and stressed his country”s keenness on Lebanon”s security, stability, prosperity, and progress.
Judeh had started his visit to Beirut by meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Ali al-Shami. The two men stressed upon "the importance of ongoing coordination and consultation between Jordan and Lebanon."
They also discussed "the important role and coming mission of Lebanon through its membership in U.N. Security Council."
