Hariri’s Visit to Syria “Productive”, Results Evident Once Put into Practice
Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar told Future News on Tuesday that “it seems that Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s visit to Damascus last weekend was productive.”
He said that he was surprised to see Hariri soften his rhetoric with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, adding that “the atmosphere during Monday’s cabinet meeting was positive, but people need to see [in practice] the outcome of the visit.”
He also said that Monday’s incident in Deir Aamar in North Lebanon, where unidentified perpetrators opened fire at a bus transporting Syrians and which resulted in the death of one passenger, targeted to affect the positive outcome of Hariri’s visit to Syria.
