Suleiman”s Tour of Southern Lebanon Postponed without Explanation
President Michel Suleiman”s trip to southern Lebanon on Wednesday was postponed without any clear reasons, An Nahar newspaper reported.
An Nahar said the UNIFIL command had informed journalists in the south that Suleiman will tour the region, including army and UNIFIL bases, along with army commander Gen. Jean Qahwaji.
However, the reporters were informed late Tuesday that Suleiman will no longer head to the south, according to the daily.
Meanwhile, al-Manar daily said in its evening newscast that an important event will take place in the south on Wednesday.
