Policy Statement Didn”t Legalize Hizbullah Weapons
March 14 General-Secretariat Coordinator Fares Soaid has stressed that Hizbullah”s arms will be discussed at the national dialogue table because the cabinet policy statement did not legalize them.
In remarks to LBC TV station, Soaid criticized Hizbullah for wanting to replace U.N. Security Council resolution 1559 with a dialogue table that stretches from 2009 to 2099.
Soaid also criticized Druze leader Walid Jumblat for being part of the team that has surrendered to Hizbullah”s arms issue.
Another team represented by Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir believes Hizbullah”s arms hinder the process of state building, Soaid added.
