Hezbollah’s Allegation against Christians Is Rejected
In an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Monday, Lebanese Forces bloc MP Antoine Zahra commented on Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech on the occasion of Ashura on Sunday – during which Nasrallah said that certain Christians “have previously placed bets” in Israel’s favor – saying that Hezbollah’s indictment against Christians is rejected.
“The Christians’ option is settled. It is the choice [to build] a Lebanese state based on partnership and equality,” Zahra said.
Hezbollah is proposing two models of government, Zahra said. “The first is having an Islamic state with Iran as its reference, and the second is having a mini-state that clashes with the Lebanese government and that undermines its authority.”
