Government Ought To Control All Its Territory with Exceptions
Change and Reform bloc MP Alain Aoun said on Monday that the government should control all of its territory, however, “there exist exceptions that are accepted by the state.”
Aoun commented on Saturday’s Haret Hreik blast that killed three people, two of whom were Hamas officials, saying that the Interior and Defense ministers along with the president can inform the Lebanese of the details of the blast. Aoun also called for taking the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such an incident.
Aoun said that the expected sit-down between his bloc leader, MP Michel Aoun, and Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt has not been scheduled yet. However, there is ongoing communication between the two parties.
