Józef Wesołowski, accused of sexual abuse of minors, has been expelled from the priesthood. Following the sentence of the first canonical trial, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith determined his expulsion from the “clerical state”.
He has two months from now to appeal the sentence. When the canonical sentence is definitive, criminal proceedings will continue in the civil courts of the Vatican.
