المانيا الشرقية الواقعة تحت سيطرة الحزب الشيوعي تلغي نقاط التفتيش على جدار برلين وتسمح للمواطنين بالسفر إلى المانيا الغربية.

وسمح هذا الحدث بإعادة توحيد البلاد وإسقاط الشيوعية في أوروبا الشرقية بما فيها روسيا، في عام 1989.

Communist-controlled East Germany opens checkpoints in the Berlin Wall allowing its citizens to travel to West Germany.

This key event led to the eventual reunification of East and West Germany, and fall of communism in Eastern Europe including Russia, in 1989.
